Dear all,
I found that this link
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125264%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx
In its "Example 3" section, it says
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This example sets the display name and enables Outlook Anywhere access for the user tony@contoso.com.
Set-CASMailbox -Identity tony@contoso.com -DisplayName "Tony Smith" -MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp:$true
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As my understanding and w.r.t. other peoples post, setting this MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp to $true should disable Outlook Anywhere for a user, and force him to use MAPI/RPC via autodiscover service, am i correct?
I tried the above command setting a demo user account and restarted IIS, however, the autodiscover test still shows the "Exchange HTTP" section, and i am not able to turn off Outlook Anywhere in Outlook 2013 even i have manually disabled it in"Account Settings".
Could anyone clarify this?
Regards,
Larry Chan
