Exchange Server 2007/2013 migration with ActiveSync users

Hi all

ongoing migration from 2007 to 2013 and have just one bugging questionmark...

ActiveSync users are currently connecting to as.company.com (exchange 2007 CAS, single site internet facing deployment).

do I need legacy hostname?

  • as per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn130105%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx I do need because it states:

All client connections will be redirected, including Exchange ActiveSync, Outlook Web App, POP3, and IMAP4.

  • as per http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2013/OUC-B313 - slide #23, I do not need because 2013MBX will proxy to 2007 CAS.

I've found numerous "proxy connection" infos rather than "redirect connection" but I'm thinking that they are all referenced by that same slide :)

thnx in advance!
