I have an Exchange 2007 and 2013 coexistence setup. I'm ready to remove the 2007 servers but before I do I have a question about mobile device activesync.
Many of my mobile users (5,000 or so) their devices are pointing to my legacy namespace. webmail.legacy.com
I have migrated their mailboxes to new 2013 exchange, and their mobile devices are still pointing to the legacy namespace. The new namespace is webmail.newname.com
If I turn off the old exchange servers hosting the old legacy namespace, all my mobile devices will stop syncing. Anyone know of a good way to fix this easily?
My thoughts are I could create a c-name and point webmail.legacy.com to my new namespace. But I don't have the old legacy name certificate installed on the new exchange servers. Also would I need to create some sort of redirect within IIS on the new exchange 2013 group to accept the connections from my old legacy namespace and redirect it to the new one.
