Exchange 2013: Two servers (Mailbox and CAS). Up to date as of August 1, 2014.
Windows Phones: Nokia Lumia 625 and Nokia Lumia 1020 running Windows Phone 8 GDR3 and Windows Phone 8.1.
Users started receivinig error 85010014 after their mailbox was migrated from Exchange 2007 to 2013. After a lot of investigation, we ended up figuring out that performing an IISRESET on both Exchange servers resolved the problem. We thought the issue was resolved.
However many of our users are upgrading to Windows Phone 8.1. After WP8.1 is applied, they start receiving error 85010014 again.
We’ve tried performing the following on the phone to resolve the issue – nothing worked:
- Manual sync.
- Rebooting the phone.
- Removing the account and re-adding it.
- Deselecting items to sync within the Graybarcanada account.
- Checking for calendar entries which are marked as “Working Elsewhere” (apparently not supported in some ActiveSync cases).
Nothing resolves the issue until I perform an iisreset on the mailbox and CAS servers. However performing an iisreset bumps everyone off the Exchange server. The majority of users reconnect within a minute or two. But for some it could take up to 5 minutes before they will reconnect again. And in rare cases they have to close and re-open Outlook. It’s not an acceptable solution.
I believe this is an issue with Exchange 2013, not Windows Phone. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
