We are having a peculiar, yet well known issue with one of our blackberries connecting to the server on ActivSync.
The device takes literally 20 secs to switch to activsync email for one particular mailbox. All other email account like gmail etc load fine. Also, any other mailbox from the same server/mailstore load just fine. It's just this particular users mailbox that take 20 secs. I tried
changing the device,
wiping the device,
reloading the firmware,
recreating and importing the mailbox,
cleanup inbox to reduce(the user is diligent about keeping inbox tidy)
Moving the mailbox to a different server/store
Again, this works ok on Android devices. It's just the BB devices (q10, z10) that refuse to load email. I approached BB support, and they were just as bad as they were two years ago.There is nothing in the activsync logs. No events realted to the user or
any errors reported on the servers.
Any advice on how to troubleshoot this further? are there any workarounds? I thought of creating a second mailbox for blackberry use only for this user. But, email replies will be a problem. If he replies on the proxy emailbox, they dont go into his main mailbox etc.
