It seems not many people are using exchange 2013 till now. We are having problems with Exchange 2013 Outlook Anywhere Authentication settings. As per Microsoft we should use NTLM authentication to be able to save passwords in outlook if we connect from outside but it never works. Now when we changed the authentication to basic in Exchange ECP, users are unable to connect and outlook keeps asking for passwords internally and externally but never connects.
Secondly, Exchange Proxy Settings in Exchange automatically keeps changing the Authentication Method to Negotiate Authentication from Basic.
May we know what is the proper way to be able to save passwords in outlook and where should be change the settings. Should we change the settings in Exchange ECP as well as IIS?
