I have found similar postings for this issue and the resolution for them doesn't seem to apply in this case.
The user is testing Active sync devices on his account. He has three. Two androids and one iphone. No matter what he does, he is not able to remove the iphone through owa. He has reconfigured it and owa displays a new device in addition to the old one. So now he is up to three iphone devices and two androids.
The devices show up in EAC as well as owa. If you try to remove them from either interface, you get an error. (cannot be found, deletion pending and then fails. Have tried disabling active sync for devices, for ActiveSync, re-enabling, no change)
Checking in AD, the iphone devices do not exist.
I found another post that references using mfcmapi to remove the items from the users mailbox. After expanding the root folder, the "exchangesyncdata" does not appear. I'm wondering if this was moved to a new location in an Exchange 2013 mailbox?
Has anyone run into this?
Appreciate any assistance.
