Hi

We have the following error on a 2013 CAS that I cant seem to find any details on (see below).

CAS is part of a migration from EX2010 and sits behind TMG2010. All systems are working, CAS is passing traffic through to 2010 CAS.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Team

In My scenario

Migrated Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013. Everything is working fine using OWA & Active sync.

Problem that we are facing when password is expired.

When password is been changed for a particular mail ID , For that Mail ID , we are not receiving anyAuthentication Failed error or any password prompt in my mobile.

But in Exchange 2010 , we were able to get the Authentication Failed Error prompt ,when the password is been changed.

Need to suggestions on this to solve this issue.

Setting up Android with Exchange 2013

Hello All,

Our shop is still an Exchange 2003 shop. I have set up Exchange 2013 in our lab, for testing. So far everything is working great, except the mobile connection.....

I'm presently testing with my phone (Galaxy III). I am successfule connecting and accessing my mailbox from the 2003 Server. But with the 2013 server, I'm able to connect but all I get is the spinning circle.

From my research, I'm suppose to log into the EAC and set the type of phone in the Device Access Rules, but when I look at the phone types, I only see EASProbeDeviceType.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Tried using the outlook app(latest and earlier as well) on android. Could not find any way of searching the contact details of users in the directory. Is this by design or a problem?

Problems Exchange 2013 ActiveSync + Android Client

Hello,

I'm with an access problem by using ActiveSync on Android.

I have a migration environment \ coexistence Exchange 2010 and 2013;

When I use the Outlook app on android access works perfectly when using any other client in android access does not.

I'm using a client called MailWize that works perfectly when my mailbox is hosted on the exchange in 2010, but the exchange in 2013 does not.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks

Hi!

We are testing Exchange 2013 Virtualization with DAG. Everything seems to work fine except ActiveSync. When we are configuring ActiveSync on a Android Device (Samsung Note-3), it is able to connect to our Exchange Servers but not loading any E-Mails or folders?

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Android IOS apps and Active sync

Can someone point me in the right direction for whitepapers and other information on how the Android and IOS apps work with exchange.

specifically I'm looking for information on  how the mobile device app is encrypted, is it possible to enforce a password on the app only and not just the entire device. We are also looking for information on how it interacts with Active Sync. does it connect on the public side or just on the server side.

2010 to 2003 ActiveSync redirection fails

Hi,

I’m having trouble getting ActiveSync redirects working from Exchange 2010 to 2003. My setup is as follows:

  1.       Exchange 2010 CAS with 2 servers.
  2.       DNS entries created for Exchange2010 (cas1.widgets.com, mail.widgets.com)
  3.       DNS entries created for Exchange 2003 (legacy.widgets.com)
  4.       Exchange 2010 configured with an SSL certificate for https://mail.widgets.com
  5.       Exchange 2003 configured for HTTP (no SSL). Integrated authentication set on the “Microsoft-Serve-ActiveSync” virtual directory – does it also need to be set on the top level “Exchange Virtual Server” as well?
  6.       Basic authentication is off on the Microsoft-Serve-ActiveSync virtual directory on Exchange 2003. I’ve installed patch KB937031.

With the above I’m expecting redirection to work as follows for a 2003 user: mobile –HTTPSàmail.widgets.com -- HTTPà legacy.widgets.com

Running ActiveSync tests against the users below works as follows

Mbx2010 – Exchange 2010 user – works fine with the ActiveSync points at mail.widgets.com Mbx2003 – Exchange 2003 user – fails with ActiveSync pointing at mail.widgets.com

Mbx2003 – Exchange 2003 user – works with ActiveSync pointing at legacy.widgets.com

On the Exchange 2003 and 2010 logs I can see the connection redirected from Exchange 2010 to 2003.

I’ve tried adding an SSL certificate to 2003, but still no luck.

Apologies for the length, but logs attached:

How can I select and delete multiple emails in OWA on my Android phone?

$

I have the new Outlook Web Access installed on my Android phone. Unlike the desktop version, there is no obvious checkbox to select multiple messages for deletion. I get a lot of junk email in this account and can tell from the brief subject line what is junk.  On the desktop version of Outlook I can quickly select all of these junk emails and delete them easily, but on my Android OWA app, I don't see any way to delete them without opening each email first - and that sorta defeats the whole idea of deleting junk email. If the spammers can force readers to open their emails, they have WON and who knows what junk they might install on your phone if you click to open a junk email.

If MS hasn't developed this option for their OWA Android app, they need to right away. If that capability exists, I need to know how to do it.

Autodiscover getting Server Name

Hi!

When we are configuring Outlook with Exchange 2013 through autodiscover, it is getting Exchange Server name like (ex1.domain.com) in the Proxy Settings instead of (mail.domain.com) and then showing certificate error.

We have two Exchange 2013 configured with DAG and DNS Round Robin.

Secondly, while generating CSR for Exchange we are getting mail.domain.net. (a dot at the end after net) then we have to click on the pen icon and remove the dot.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Problem adding Mailbox to iPhone with mailbox over the limits

We had a person who's mailbox was over the limit and was unable to add the mailbox to her iPhone. After reducing the mailbox to below the limits, she was able to add the mailbox. Is this something that has always been the case or something new with 2013?

ActiveSync failing for 3 mobile users

$

We currently use Exchange 2013 running on Server 2012 R2 and have around 30 users that access their e-mail from iPhones.  However, we've recently run into a strange issue with three users that get the error "The connection to the server failed" on their iPhones. These users can access their Exchange mail using a local Outlook client or OWA with no issues.

When running the Exchange Connectivity test for ActiveSync for any of these users, it fails with the error shown below:

No MSExchangeActiveSync events are being logged in the Application log in Event Viewer when these users are trying to connect on their iPhone.  We have one mobile device policy setup in Exchange and this allows mobile devices to connect without administrator intervention.

The only 'fix' I've found online for this issue is to ensure that the "Inherit Permissions from Parent Object" tickbox is ticked for the users in AD but this is already the case.  These users have been able to access Exchange from their iPhones in the past and their permissions in AD are exactly the same as other users who are having no issues.

In the ActiveSync logs I'm getting the following exception appear:

Exception type: Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory.ADObjectAlreadyExistsException
Exception message: Active Directory operation failed on DC. The object 'CN=ExchangeActiveSyncDevices,CN=... already exists

If I use ADSI Edit to delete the current ExchangeActiveSyncDevices container for one of the affected users I then get a different error:

Exception message: A null value was received for the NTSD security descriptor of container CN=ExchangeActiveSyncDevices,CN=...

I've got to the point now where the only way I can see of resolving this is to export the affected users mailboxes as pst files and recreate their AD accounts.  However, this would be a last resort and I'm hoping someone out there may have some pointers about what the problem could be.

Thanks for your help in advance.
